Plas Bodegroes has won numerous awards for its delicious food, including a Michelin Star and UK Restaurant of the Year in the Good Food Guide. Food is traditional in style with a modern twist, and made from local ingredients.
Rooms at Plas Bodegroes are individually designed, and each benefits from a flat-screen TV, a bed with a pocket-sprung mattress and Egyptian cotton linen, and bathrobes. Each also boasts tea and coffee making facilities, free bottled water, and picturesque views of the garden.
Guests can take a revitalising stroll around the Llŷn Peninsula coastal path, and the area has plenty of other scenic routes to explore. Caernarfon is 22 miles from the building.
Plas Bodegroes is a fairytale building set in quiet gardens, the perfect escape from busy life. Our bedrooms aren't huge - remember we are a 5 star Restaurant with Rooms, not hotel! Please also note that this is a 240 year old building and whilst we have made every effort to make it as comfortable as possible, it is not a Travel Lodge or resort hotel. But our food, wine and service have all won the highest awards and our friendly, informal staff will offer you the very best service!
We have run Plas Bodegroes for 34 years, Chris has run the kitchen and Gunna the front of house. Chris's cooking have won us awards in all the leading guides including a Michelin Star for 14 years until 2007, and Good Food Guide UK Restaurant of the year in 2003. Chris partially retired in 2007, but still cooks your breakfast! Chef Hugh Bracegirdle (who has been here with Chris for 14 years) and his team prepare our superb dinners. Gunna and her team run the front of house with easy charm and see to your every need. We look forward to welcoming you to this special place!
The Llyn Peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty, edged by sea cliffs and safe sandy beaches. Some of the best walks on the Wales' Coastal Path are here. The castles and mountains of Snowdonia are nearby, Portmeirion is 13 miles away, and the whole area is remarkably unspoilt. There are picturesque villages with pubs - two of which are right on the beach!
