Pots and Pigs is a 1 bedroom converted farm building. It is situated in the heart of a busy working farm in the beautiful village of Wilton near Marlborough. The barn is located on a farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where the Pewsey Vale meets the North Wessex Downs. The Farm is criss-crossed with footpaths, bridleways and open grass pastures so hiking, running, riding and picnicking are easy to come by, as well as home to emus, ponies, pigs, alpacas and other farmyard animals.
David & Millie live on the farm and are available if you need them but will not interrupt your stay.
On our doorstep you can visit the only working windmill in the south west of England or the oldest working Beam Engines in the world. Savernake Forest, Henry VIII’s old hunting ground, and where he met his third wife Jane Seymore at Wolf Hall. The Kennet and Avon Canal bisects the farm and the lovely 7 acre lake known locally as "Wilton Water" is full of wildlife accessible on foot, bicycle or horse back. Wilton itself ideally located about a one hour drive from London, or the main line from Paddington arrives at the neighboring village of Great Bedwyn two miles away with either a bus ride or taxi to take you to Wilton. The village is about half way between the A303 leading to the South West and the M4 leading to Bath or Bristol so is right at the at the gateway to the West Country.
