Prospect Cottage is a traditional cottage in the hamlet of Staveley-in-Cartmel near Newby Bridge. The cottage has two double rooms and a room with adult bunks. There is a bathroom on the first floor and a ground floor shower room. The kitchen has a dining area with open fire and leads to a small sitting area, while the cosy sitting room also has an open fire. Outside is a front patio area, as well as off road parking for two cars. Prospect Cottage is ideally placed for enjoying the Lake District with its watersports, walking and other family attractions.
Set amidst the breathtaking Lake District scenery, the pretty hamlet of Staveley-in-Cartmel near Newby Bridge makes an excellent place from which to explore the rest of this lovely region. A great way to see the wonderful local scenery is on the famous Furness Railway which runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge, or take a look at the Aquarium of the Lakes which uses naturally themed habitats to bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life. Lake Windermere itself offers some magnificent views, as do the surrounding fells and the picturesque village of Hawkshead - a place that inspired such internationally well known authors as William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.
