Information about the host

We have converted a once Shire Horse paddock on our land into a beautiful and restful haven. There are two static caravans; really well kitted out with new linen, towelling and other amenities for your comfort and enjoyment whilst you are here with us. Railway Cottage caravans was named because we both love railways, steam engines and alike. For your convenience and enjoyment. We have installed around 100 metres of 7 1/4" gauge track and purchased a rather quirky engine and carriages to get you and your luggage to the caravan of your choice. People who have already stayed, think its so much fun and unique. Staying with us, you will find us there to help in any way and give honest advice about the area and the best places to go. Be it for restaurants, pubs ; our home was once the village Inn, called the Ram Inn on 1841 Census, It dates back to 1600's. Historical sites. we are on a major cycle route too. You are surround by mature Ash, Alder, Plum and ancient hedges. Ancient walling and a seasonal array of wildlife.

Delia is care worker for in a childrens home who is an absolute cracking cook. Cakes to Sunday lunch. produces her own jams and preserves that are sold to local outlets. Daniel is a retired teacher. My subect areas are: wood, engineering, graphics, prototypes and railways

Parc is a really quiet village that has just a few houses and is very peaceful and pleasent to live in. Lovely people, that are always saying good morning to you. Everyone in their cars seems to wave and say hello. Even if you cant remember who they are! We have a local farmer called Harry. He must be in his 70's. Works everyday including Christmas day. Waves as he goes by in his tractor with the biggest smile you have ever seen. Such a gentleman. He may have only left the island a handful of times throughout his lifetime! Keep an eye out for him driving his big green John Deere tractor.
