Randel is a romantic studio cottage in a small group a mile from Bassenthwaite. The cottage has a double bed in the open plan living area, along with a kitchen, dining table and sitting area. There is also a separate shower room. Outside is off road parking and shared grounds including a games room. Randel makes an ideal base for couples to explore the Lakes, try watersports or enjoy good walking. Note: No infants or children.
Situated just a short distance to the north east of Bassenthwaite Lake is the attractive village of Bassenthwaite itself. This charming settlement retains its traditional, rural feel and boasts a stream which winds through the outskirts of the village in addition to whitewashed Lakeland cottages, a well-maintained green and a real ale inn, full of character. Bassenthwaite Lake offers rolling hillside scenery and remains one of the most picturesque places in England. Points of interest nearby include Mirehouse - a grand home and gardens on the shores of the Lake - Trotters Farm, and Dodd Wood. Most of the attractions of the wider region are within easy driving distance whilst the quieter Northern Fells are almost on the doorstep. The towns of Cockermouth and Keswick and close by and both host weekly markets and a good range of other amenities.
