Rescorla Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast is situated in a quiet hamlet conveniently located in mid-Cornwall. Easy access to the A30 and A38 enables our guests to visit all areas of Cornwall with its varied coastline and landscapes. We are only a 5-minute drive from The Eden Project and there are many other places of interest within a 10-mile radius.
We moved to Cornwall in March 2016 and feel very privileged to be living in this wonderful part of the UK. We are happy that we can share our passion for the County by welcoming guests to our bed and breakfast accommodation. Although we know Cornwall well from our many visits over the years, we are still finding new places to delight us as well as learning about others from some of our guests. Helman Tor is one of our favourite local beauty spots for far-reaching views and we also love the pretty riverside village of Lerryn.
Rescorla Farmhouse sits within 'Clay Country'! There is evidence of the china clay industry all around and a visit to Wheal Martyn, a working museum located in a beautiful, wooded valley, will provide plenty of information about its history. There are miles of trails nearby allowing visitors to walk to The Eden Project or the Luxulyan Valley with its railway, village pub and stunning viaduct. The historic port of Charlestown is a short drive away and has a good selection of galleries, gift shops and places to eat; there is also access to the South West Coast path providing splendid views of St Austell Bay. A trip to the coastal town of Fowey is also recommended for its wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants all set against the backdrop of the Fowey estuary. Within a 30-minute drive guests can also visit the spectacular North Coast. Padstow (well-known for its restaurants, shops and harbour); Port Isaac (famous for the TV programme, Doc Martin) and Newquay (great for surfing) are all easily accessible.
