'Elsie' is a 1964 Castleton Rovana 4 berth caravan who has been in our family for the last ten years. During this time she has undergone a sympathetic renovation and has been updated to comply with modern safety standard. She offers quirky 60's style self catering accommodation for two adults and up to two children, having a double bed plus a single and a bunk (max 40kg on the top bunk). She is off grid at Pen Y Graig, (no mains electric) with a gas hob and grill , solar powered lights, a 35 litre electric coolbox and a cassette toilet (no shower), so is ideal to really get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet. There are facilities to charge mobile phones, though, so you're not completely out of touch with the modern world (unless you want to be!). Elsie has an awning and a table and chairs for outside dining or simply enjoying the views out over the mountains and valleys. She is situated on a working farm so please be aware that at times livestock and machinery may temporarily block the access road. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under close control at all times, and guests will be asked to leave immediately if their dogs are found harassing stock.

There are walks and cycling available starting on the farm. The Sugarloaf Mountain is within walking distance and the thriving market town of Abergavenny is a 15 minute drive away. There are many award winning places to dine and attractions in the local area.
