Riverside Apartments

Pros: Self-catering - depends how good a cook you are!! Excellent views over and along the river from the lounge patio windows/balcony. Plenty of space.

Cons: Minor issues only - Owner/manager was supposed to email instructions a good few days ago but hadn't. When we phoned to check entry he said he had emailed the previous night but as we were travelling, had not seen that, he then re-sent the email as a text and we received instructions about key boxes by the door - which was easy. Car parking was supposed to be across the street but spaces were all full with local workers, shoppers etc, however one moved while we were unloading luggage and we used it quickly! Nearby public car park (also free I think?) was also nearly full. Parking spaces across the street were all empty after about 5pm, may be busier in the summer!! Minor problem in that the patio door to the balcony was difficult to lock and needs some adjustment I think.

Pros: Breakfast not included. As it was an apartment, there was a full kitchen for us to use.

Pros: The apartment exceeded our expectations. It was renovated to a very high standard with nice extra touches like chrome wall sockets with USB chargers. Seems like a small thing but we had been cycling for 3 days and had phones and watches to charge. The bathrooms were to a very high standard and the shower was excellent.

Pros: Modern, spacious, well equipped, very clean, and well located

Cons: We found the beds in our twin room a little uncomfortable. This may have been our personal experience only. Others may disagree.
