Arundel is a historical town with some fascinating independent shops along with its famous castle, wetlands wildlife park and the river Arun, which flows through the centre of the town. There is an annual multi-arts festival, one of the largest in the South which attracts visitors from all over the world. The many attractions of Goodwood, including Goodwood House, Goodwood Golf course, Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival motor racing event, as well as horse racing, is only about a 15 minutes drive away. The cathedral city of Chichester, with its famous Festival Theatre and Norman Cathedral lies about 13 miles to the west of Arundel and offers a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. Arundel is an excellent base from which to explore England’s beautiful South Downs which is an area full of history just waiting to be discovered from walking across the Downs to canoeing or cycling there is something for everyone when you visit Arundel.
