Fresh, clean and comfortable double room in ground floor flat. Wake up to a stag at dawn, in the cozy surrounds. Room comprises of; double bed, Smart TV, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, microwave, closet, bathroom products, shared bathroom with tidy owner (cleaned after use), quiet and relaxing garden to sit out in during long summer evenings. Cat & small dog live in flat but do not get access to guest room.
Dear Guest, I wish to welcome you to my humble abode. I am a college Lecturer and entrepreneur and enjoy renting my spare room to guests. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and parts of the world. I am trying to learn Modern languages and like the opportunity to practice them too! You will be most welcome in my home, where you will have a quiet and comfortable stay, during your visit/ stay in Elgin, Moray - the heart of malt whisky country.
The flat is situated a 5 min drive from RAF Lossiemouth and Dr Gray's Hospital. A 15 min walk to Elgin town centre, close to the Cathedral, Johnston's Woollen Mill, Glen Moray distillery. With a 20 min drive of most malt whisky distilleries in Speyside.

Pros: Location was ideal being close to family. Host was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Room was warm and clean. Breakfast was continental only but well served and filling.
Cons: Description on Booking.com as having our 'own bathroom' is a little misleading as it is not ensuite and requires a trip along a passage. Not in itself a problem but had we realised we'd have brought dressing gowns. The bed was comfy but pushed up against the window so if sharing the person on that (right) side had to climb over the capital other. There were a whole load of house rules, which were presented with some rather 'shouty' capitalised words. Whilst reasonable in themselves and clearly base don some unfortunate experiences, they were a little off putting.

Pros: Die Vermieterin war aus privaten Gründen nicht anwesend, jedoch bemüht, meinen Aufenthalt durch Mails und Hinweise zufriedenstellend zu steuern. Auch wurde Frühstücksmaterial angeboten, obwohl ich kein Frühstück gebucht hatte. Das an sich große Zimmer enthielt neben dem Doppelbett eine Klappcouch. Die machte das Zimmer zwar enger, war aber praktisch als Kofferablage.
Cons: Die Heizung war mir zu kalt eingestellt. Die Do´s and Don´ts für die Gäste fand ich etwas schulmeisterlich. Aber vielleicht ist Anne tatsächlich Lehrerin? :-) Um in die Stadt zu kommen, muss man den Bus nehmen.

Pros: Warm, friendly welcome, comfy bed, clean and tidy, excellent value Who cares if it’s not en-suite, there are no other guests to bump into!
Cons: Perhaps thicker curtains and/or a blind to reduce light coming through the window
