Situated in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, Rockmount is only 150 yards from a selection of bars and restaurants. It offers free Wi-Fi in its rooms, and has free off road parking on site assigned to each room.
The elegant rooms all have views over Tavistock, and feature a tiled en suite bathroom. Each also comes with a flat-screen TV and facilities for making tea and coffee.
A cooked breakfast is also available at an extra cost. There is a peaceful garden to relax in, and a terrace to enjoy in warmer weather.
Lydford Castle is about 8 miles from Rockmount, while Saltram House is 18 miles away.

Pros: Tony was very welcoming .We had a great room with the beat shower I've had in ages, so I had 2. We will definitely stay there again. Only a 2 min walk to the town.
Cons: There wasn't anything not to like.

Pros: This was a wonderful 2 night stay. Everything, from the friendly and professional welcome, to the fabulous room and delicious breakfast was perfect. All proper precautions are being taken during coronavirus. We were very well informed, and very well looked after. Very highly recommended! Thanks so much!

Pros: Genuinely friendly welcome - owner keen to make sure your stay is to your satisfaction and keen to know of anything that may not be to your liking - and looking to improve his offer. Good idea to have breakfast, continental or full english, as an additional extra cost over the basic room cost. Room/ property was SPOTLESS. Room even had an ipad for client use plus apple TV

Pros: Fabulous in every way. Lovely boutique hotel. Within very easy walking distance of Tavistock centre. Friendly hosts and comfortable, attractive rooms that work! Enough plug sockets and USBs for even the most gadgetty guests and all kinds of choices on the TV. It’s also quiet, has parking and excellent coffee.

Pros: Very friendly welcome from the host. Fantastic location and facilities with extra special touches like Alexa and Net Flix. Left early so didn't sample breakfast.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, facilities were all great, topped off by a fantastic host who was incredibly attentive the whole time! This is a great place to stay
