Each room has a TV with DVD player, seating area and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms have the use of shared bathroom facilities.

Barrow docks, train station and shopping areas are all within a 2-minute drive, and Furness Abbey and the Forum Theatre are 8 minutes away. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is less than 10 minutes' drive, and the beautiful Lake District is only a 25-minute drive away. Roose Train Station is an 8-minute walk away.

Information about the host

Our property is a lovely, homely, old Farm house which was built in the late 15 hundreds and once owned by the monks of furness abbey. The house although modern, has lots of character, including old beams and meat hooks.you will not be disappointed with the very well presented warm rooms as they make you feel at home with our very nice comfortable beds and warm atmosphere.

Paul and I (Mel) have been running as a guest house for just over 5 years. We love what we do and welcome all our guests. We have both lived in Barrow-in-Furness all our lives and know the area very well including the lake district and lots of beautiful walks. There are lots of places to visit in the local vasinity including, furness Abbey, the dock museum, piel island, the Buddhist centre and lots more. PLEASE NOTE We can offer you a continental breakfast through months November to January and a cooked breakfast from end of January till October. We hope to see you soon.

We live in a quiet neibourhood just down a short Lane, Yet we are only a 2 min drive from the town centre, or a 15 minutes walk. There are 2 local pubs round the corner that both offer bar meals, and also a fish and chip takeaway. There is a bus stop 5 minutes down the road, and a train station also 5 minutes down the Rd. Tesco supermarket is just opposite Roose train station 5 minutes away.
