Sandunes House is situated in Camber Sands, just a stones throw away from the fabulous sandy beach. The house has a homely feel and is the perfect place for a relaxing break by the seaside. The house is light and airy with a balcony out front and a garden with a patio and BBQ at the back for alfresco dining on warm nights. Alternatively, you can relax in the lounge with a comfy sofa and armchairs to watch TV after a day at the beach. There is also a toy box, board games, X-Box and DVDs for children of all ages. The beach is what Camber is all about offering 2.5 miles of sandy beach and dunes. The area has plenty of water sports available from kite surfing to sailing. Bikes can easily be hired and there are cycle routes and walking paths literally from outside the house to Rye and beyond. There are several excellent bars and restaurants a moments stroll away and there is a lovely cycle path all the way to the historic town of Rye. There are also local shops in Camber where you can get any last minute groceries or Rye (nearby) has a large supermarket, fishmongers, bakers and a good butchers and deli.

Camber Sands is home to a stunning stretch of white sandy beach, complete with undulating dunes and unspoilt views stretching for miles, across Rye Harbour to the east and the cliffs of Hastings Country Park to the west. Look closely and you may even spot a seal in the estuary. A truly relaxing and wonderful holiday destination. Nearby Rye is a 13th century cinque port, host to the River Rother, Romney Marshes and a history dating back before the Norman Conquest. A cobbled town offering an excellent array of unusual shops, antique emporiums, galleries selling local artist paintings and pottery, Rye also has a delightful range of tea rooms, restaurants, pubs and historic inns. There is also a weekly general market on Thursdays, as well as a farmers’ market every Wednesday morning. Walkers and birdwatchers can enjoy a footpath leading across the marshes to Camber Castle built by Henry VIII. Local attractions include miniature or full-size steam train rides, local vineyards, stately homes, castles and gardens.
