Pros: The hotel is in a central location, easily accessible to main attractions.
Cons: The facilities were poor. WiFi was advertised but this was only available in the lobby. There was no tv signal during our stay. Parking is extremely limited and alternative on-street parking is time limited and expensive. The hotel has lots of bars/pubs so there is lots of noise from revellers into the early hours. Only one pillow is provided per person so not a very comfortable nights sleep.

Pros: Fast check in and price for the night. Central location too.
Cons: I was woken up at 7.30 am by the house maid who knocked on my door then, a second later entered my room only to be stopped my the door chain, it woke me up, I didn’t sleep again after that. I rang down to reception straight away informing them, they said I could speak with the manager at 10 am, I spoke to the acting manager who wasn’t helpful at all, she just gave me an email to customer services to complain, I asked about any recompense, no she said, not good enough!

Pros: Location & Maloneys bar
Cons: The whole hotel is in desperate need of a revamp and decorating First room 131 was not acceptable as it stank of smoke had a dirty shower curtain and the bathroom ceiling was peeling I went down to reception and a really nice guy moved me to the top floor the room was nice but had double bed and I had booked a twin room for me and my Daughter but we just made do as we were only spending one night there bed was really uncomfortable Blonde young girl on reception very miserable and not very nice to the point of being rude however the other reception staff were very nice All in all I wouldn’t have wanted to pay anymore than I did it’s a shame because over the years I have had a few nights at the Scarisbrick but the place is looking tired
