Pros: It's a budget room £19. So don't expect much other than a toilet and a bed. Maybe a TV. I slept well and did me ok.
Cons: Make a note of how steep the last flight of stairs are and no blind on window and rubbish was under the bed from last guests. But again I wasn't surprised. I'd still stay

Pros: It’s hard to think of anything good to say about the property to be honest. The entry system was very secure, so that’s something at least.
Cons: When we opened the fridge, we were hit with a pungent smell - it obviously hadn’t been cleaned for some time and whatever was in there had been there for some time. There was cereal laid out, but there was no way we were risking opening the milk in the fridge, so no breakfasThe glasses needed to be washed before we used them too. Where to start with the bathroom?? With us all being extra sure we clean surfaces etc thoroughly because of Covid-19, I don’t think the bathroom had been cleaned in months. The shower screen over the bath was caked in soap scum and the wash hand basin was covered in dust. But the worst had to be the bleach bottle which was covered in dust too - cleaner? What cleaner? And the skirting boards and back of the towel rail were filthy. This was the last straw - we felt like we would have needed a good shower after coming out of the bathroom!! We were not going to risk infection of any kind. On leaving the property, we noticed a very full, open bag of rubbish out the back and the thought of rats/mice finished us! You do get what you pay for, but cleanliness costs nothing. You will see the photos that back this review up below.

Pros: The toilet and shower were very clean, we did not use the kitchen as there was a few people in but it looked OK.
Cons: We did not like the fact that the bedding was not the right size for the bed and quilt, and when I put on the fitted sheet the mattress curled up as the sheet was small. The pillows were uncomfortable as well very lumpy. We could not watch the TV as it was breaking up and losing the signal constantly.

Pros: Great value for money. Everything there we needed. Clean warm convenient to town(apart from the big hill back up from town!!) easy parking.
Cons: Lack of mugs in kitchen. Bit noisy as other guests walk up and down stairs.

Pros: The sheets and towel were good quality and wrapped in plastic, to assure you of their cleanliness. The pressure in the shower was very good and it was a nice spacious bathroom. The kitchen wasn't busy, there were just three others in it and they were guests from my dorm room, who I enjoyed chatting to. It was good that I could have cooked a meal there. It was warm throughout the building. The guy running the place popped in and out doing refurbishments, and was really friendly. The price of £14 was excellent and you can't complain much. I was happy to spend more on good food and museums. The Manchurian restaurant and the cafe downstairs in the V&A was delicious. I spent a whole day exploring the V&A, The McManus museum and the RSS discovery ship and museum.
Cons: There is no sign and the tenement building is quite ramshackle and unwelcoming. I was apprehensive to go up the stairs and not sure I was in the right place. I didn't get an email with the door code or information about checking in. It could do with a living room to hang out in. I didn't use the tv, which had netflix, in the room as I wasn't sure everyone would want to watch it. Supplies of bread and toilet roll were low. I would have liked a second pillow or a thicker pillow to start, as I couldn't get to sleep for hours.
