Shepherd’s Bridge is a lovely detached house with a large private garden, bordered by lush meadows and with great views across the Yewdale and Coniston Fells. Situated alongside Yewdale Beck, the property is set away from the lane and accessed via a small bridge. It has a peaceful location, yet is only a short stroll from Coniston village with its array of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Here you can also find two small grocery stores. The property has been recently refurbished throughout, with stripped wooden floors and new ensuite bathrooms with each bedroom. Sit back and take in the views from your room or relax with some quiet reading time in the comfy upstairs reading area. The lawned garden is the ideal place to soak up the evening sunshine. It has off-road parking for 3 cars with further on-road parking available on the nearby lane.
Phil & Liz Robinson are the owners of Shepherds Bridge B&B and will provide a warm and friendly welcome to all our guests. Shepherds Bridge provides high quality amenities and stunning views that all our guests will appreciate. Each of our 3 rooms are unique and provide our guests with privacy and comfort. Take breakfast in your room if you wish or share with other guests and family, you can even take your breakfast alfresco in our gardens if you wish and take in the views.
Coniston Water is a few minutes walk along quiet lanes and paths, where you can take a cruise down the lake or simply sit back with a coffee at the Bluebird Café and watch the world float by. This is the perfect location for hiking and there are many fantastic walks right from the doorstep. The Cumbria Way runs from the garden gate on a beautiful gentle path right along the lake’s shore. If you fancy tackling something higher, the majestic peaks of the Old Man, Wetherlam and Dow Crag can all be reached from the house.
