Information about the host

Skiddaw Grove is a detached Georgian house built in the 1820s. It has been extended and altered over the years and now comprises 5 en-suite guest bedrooms and a 2 bedroomed self catering apartment. We provide private car parking and have a lovely south facing garden and terrace with heated outdoor swimming pool (Summer only!), table tennis facilities and a seating area.

Diane & Andrew have been running the Guest House since 2003. Originally from Shropshire and Lancashire, we both fell in love with the Lake District, enjoying walking, sailing and canoeing. When the opportunity arose to move to Keswick, we jumped at the chance and now can't imagine living anywhere nicer, (apart from The Italian Lakes maybe from a weather point of view).

It was the landscape - mountains and lakes - that attracted us but Keswick has more to offer than just the stunning scenery. We have a lovely theatre and a quaint, traditional cinema as well as a wealth of indoor and outdoor attractions.
