GROUND FLOOR Enter this lovely cottage into a good-size reception hall which leads to the open plan ground floor living space with its stylish, contemporary decor. The living area has a well-equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge with integral freezer box, dishwasher, microwave and a washing machine/dryer. The living space has comfortable seating and a TV and DVD player - great to sit back and relax after supper following a day on the beach or the many wonderful attractions nearby! The dining area has a table and seating to comfortably seat four - isn't that one of the best parts of being on holiday, enjoying meals together, whether planning the day over breakfast or discussing the day's adventures over dinner? - with French doors leading to the rear terrace, so you can enjoy outside dining too. Please note, one of the sofas will convert to being a sofa bed if anyone in your party has mobility issues plus there's no steps to the front of the property and it has a downstairs cloaks with WC and hand wash basin for extra convenience. Filey is a traditional English seaside resort with a friendly atmosphere, offering a restful holiday, making an ideal place to stay for walkers and wildlife watchers at any time of the year. A real gem on the Yorkshire coast. A fishing town on the North East Coast, Filey has enjoyed a reputation of being a resort since Victorian times, set beside the magnificent Filey Bay, a long stretch of beautiful sand, with Filey Brigg and its shallow rockpools to the north. Filey Brigg is a low headland that protects Filey Bay and provides good bird watching and seawatching opportunities all year round. The 400 ft high Bempton Cliffs (RSPB Reserve) to the south of Filey Bay are home to over 250,000 seabirds in the summer. gannets, kittiwakes, puffins, guillimots and razorbills all nest there. Gannets are regularly seen diving for fish in Filey Bay. The Brigg area is an ideal place to watch for common and rarer waders, seabirds and migrating warblers,finches and thrushes.
