Solway View is a beautiful Caravan for up to 6 people., ideal for Lake District breaks, Family Fun Holiday or a tranquil stay in a peaceful location. Central of pretty Gilcrux Village, close to all Village amenities, including the local Inn and a popular Bistro. The Caravan is a real home from home which you will want to return to again and again!

Hi, My name is Charlotte and I'm Suki (The Dog 11yr old Lhasa Apso. We moved to Gilcrux in Dec 2017 from the North East and have loved every minute since! The Village of Gilcrux is such a friendly place to be you will feel right at home the minute you arrive. Suki and I have made lots of friends here in Gilcrux and we are passionate about the place and all it has to offer. I opened a Bed & Breakfast in the Village in May last year, Our Bed & Breakfast in the village has kept us busy since May 2018 We have thrived ever since and our successful start has awarded us with an award of (10) from the Annual Review Award System. Due to our success we decided to buy a Mobile Home on the lovely Beeches Caravan Park also in Gilcrux. We have spent a couple of months updating the Caravan inside and out to bring the whole Caravan and facilities up to the best quality we possibly could. Firm believers in the little things mean a lot!

Gilcrux is a quiet, pretty village on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Within easy distance of great walking and both North Lakes and coastal attractions. It is just 12 minutes to Cockermouth, the Georgian Gem town, 20 minutes to Keswick, the centre of the North Lakes, and 10 minutes from the coast. The Bar’n Bistro in the village centre serves excellent food and has a good wine list and an extensive range of whiskies and gins, all at very reasonable prices. Across the road, the Mason’s Arms serves large plates of pub grub and has a pool table. There is a Private Swimming Pool at Arkleby which is hireable by the hour, just 1 mile away. Gilcrux has a working Trout Fishing Farm, a Duck Pond, Several Farms, a Beautiful Norman Church ( St Mary's) You will be pleasantly surprised just how friendly the locals are here, a wave, a "Hello" are everyday here regardless of who you are.
