Spring St Mary's Bournemouth is located in the neighborhood of Springbourne - a suburb of Bournemouth which is a few minutes walk to Bournemouth Train and coach Station. Main bus routes on Holdernhurst Road is a few minutes walk. Close to Shops, main supermarkets, restaurants - chinese, indian, fish and chips, Thai, Korean, Hungarian and fast food outlets. We are close to Bournemouth town being centrally located yet in a quiet and residential neighborhood. We have apartments in separate locations close to Bournemouth Train Station. Some apartments have PRIVATE BALCONY/terrace on the ground floor. Kitchen with washing machine, cooker and oven, fridge/feezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. Bathroom is fully tiled and has a rain shower, toilet and wash hand basin. The double room has 2 single beds, seperate single room with single bed and lounge has a sofa bed. Located in a nice an quiet residential cottage type neighborhood of Springbourne - a suburb of Bournemouth. The area gets its name from an old spring that came from near the Windham Road end of Spring Road. The stream then wandered underground to Boscombe Chine and out to sea. Springbourne began its life as a village providing many of the craftsmen the artisans who worked in the growing town of Bournemouth many of the Cottages they lived in built in the Victorian era can still be seen today near Holdenhurst Road. Later came the Avenues of Edwardian Houses many named after Presidents and Statesmen of the United States. The Cricketers (1867) Arms in Windham Road has the accolade of being the oldest pub in Bournemouth. Originally known as the Cricketers Hotel, named after the cricket ground that once existed on land opposite, on the council works beyond where the railway line now runs. The original stables and coach house is still there and heritage experts reckon the front of the pub was extended a short distance around 1910. The stained glass windows and the bar are thought to date from the same time and, according to stories, the bar was taken from a cruise ship.
