St Edmunds Court was bought in 2015 and is part of Upper Vobster Farm. Today the farm house is surrounded by cottages, a barn and a traditional farm courtyard that people come to enjoy from all around the world. When we moved to Upper Vobster Farm 30 years ago, the buildings and grounds were derelict and dilapidated. We've now built a foundation that provides the farm with its harmonious quality for everyone to enjoy. St Edmunds Court is a converted barn on the North side of the courtyard of a group of former farm buildings. Beautiful light spacious property with a unique charm and feeling of a family home, a place where you can rest. Sleeps 8+2 on a sofa bed, the property has 2 large bedrooms with super king beds (can be twin beds) + 2 further double bedrooms, one with wash basin. Please note restricted ceiling heights in the top floor end double bedroom. One family bathroom with bath and separate shower. Second bathroom with shower. Fully equipped kitchen and separate dining room with wood burning stove. Leads to large living room with TV and DVD player box with smart functionality. Wireless internet. Main entrance through downstairs living room with open log fire, large L-shaped sofa and separate sofa bed. Second TV with smart functionality. Utility / laundry room with washing machine, dryer and fridge. Separate toilet. Door to garden. Second entrance through archway up steps to rear lobby. Winter frosts leave an enchanting feel to treasure when you’re all wrapped up and can come back to a warm fire. The land surrounding the farm is rich in history and situated near the historic village of Mells and 12 miles from the Roman city of Bath. Other places to visit include Longleat, Stourhead, Lacock, Wells, Glastonbury and Frome, especially on market day. Further afield are places like Stonehenge, Weston-super-mare and Lulworth Cove.
