This is a family home with a private annex containing two large king size bed en-suite rooms with flat screen tv's. free wifi and Tea/Coffee facilities. We intend to make sure your stay is memorable, providing the upmost care and attention to detail. It is situated half way between the buzzing market town of Bakewell (many pubs and eating places) and the very picturesque Ashford-in-the-Water Village (two good pubs) which are both about a 15 minute walk. At the bottom of the garden there is a gate leading to a stunning walk along the River Wye towards Ashford where you will see waterfalls, weirs, ducks, swans, dippers and of course sheep with lambs in the spring.

Our House is close the beautiful walk along the river Wye to the picturesque village of Ashford in the Water and Bakewell in the heart of the Peak District. There are many Places, Walks and Pubs to enjoy please see below and pictures on our site; PLACES TO VISIT - (see site pictures) Monsal Trail, Chatsworth Farm Shop, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Monsal Head (well known view point), Stanage Edge, Stanton Moor Nine Ladies Arbor Low Ladybower Damn Buxton Cresent Hardwick Hall Ilam Hall Dove dale Mam Tor Kinder scout WALKS - (see site pictures) Lathkill Dale - the River Lathkill - this is stunning on a sunny morning seeing the layered trout ponds. Pub to walk to is the Lathkill at Over Haddon Stanton Moor - generally dry underfoot and 360 views - see the cork stone and the nine ladies stone circle dating back to the druids.Pub to visit is the Childers Stanton in the Peak or the Druids in Birchover. Stanage Edge - rocks millstones and incredible views down to Chatsworth and up to Hathersage along the Derwent Valley Monsal Dale - from our house along the River Wye to Ashford then up the valley to Monsal Head .
