Information about the host

I live in a modern, spacious house with beautiful views over the Somerset countryside. I have a large conservatory where breakfast is served looking out on my garden and the fields and trees beyond. I have a fondness for wild birds and I attract lots of species on my feeders and bird table. Ideally placed being close to Bristol airport but also easy access to Bristol, Bath and Wells. The estate is in a quiet, peaceful spot perched on the hill above the village of Winford.

I am a retired nurse with 2 sons who live close by in Bristol. I have a well behaved dog who is loyal and full of character!

As well as being close to three very interesting cities, the house is 10 minutes away from the lovely Chew Valley lake which has a lovely restaurant and play area for children, attracting a lot of interest from locals and beyond. The Chew Valley area has an abundance of lovely pubs which serve excellent food and we are 15 minutes away from the lovely Yeo valley canteen which featured on the television recently, a great place to have an organic breakfast. On the other hand if you are looking for a bed for the night prior to flying from the airport you can get a a good breakfast here and a lift to the airport or to Bristol Templemeads station.
