The property is part of a traditional Sussex farmhouse set back from the road in an acre of garden surrounded by fields. Our four bedrooms are cosy and comfortable and decorated in a simple farmhouse style. Our cosy shepherd's hut located 30m from the farmhouse accommodation is the fifth bedroom. There is a kitchen-dining-sitting room in the farmhouse and a garden area for your use. Starnash Farmhouse is ideal for a getaway in the country for groups of up to 10 people.
Starnash Farmhouse is our family home. We have two dogs, two cats and a little flock of chicken. We love cooking and we have a kitchen garden and a small orchard. We try to live a simple eco-conscious way of life. The farmhouse has solar power and ground source heating. The accommodation can be booked as self catering accommodation during school holiday times, and other times booked as individual B and B rooms. The self catering can be self contained, and both the B and B rooms and self catering have their own private entrance and garden area whilst you are staying.

Nearby is Glyndebourne Opera House (7 miles), Charleston Farmhouse - the home of Bloomsbury artists Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant is in the nearby village of Firle (5miles). Monks House - the home of writer Virginia Woolf is in the village of Rodmell (9 miles). Farley Farmhouse - the home of surrealist artist, Roland Penrose, and his photographer wife, Lee Miller, is in the village of Chiddingly (3 miles). There are some great pubs in the area. if you want to keep it local, Upper Dicker's village pub, The Plough, is about 5 minutes' drive (20 minutes' walk) and it serves great food 7 days a week. There's also a lovely village shop-cafe.
