A delightful stone cottage on the historic Cornish tin coast, with access to a covered pool during the high season, set on a smallholding surrounded by moorland, streams and engine houses – the SW coast path and beautiful Portheras Cove beach are just a short walk down the hill.

Neighbourhood information

Pendeen village has a general store and Post office and there are four local pubs serving food. Three of these, as well as the Meadery, a takeaway fish and chip shop and the Spanish tapas restaurant Maria Chica, are all within 2 minutes drive or a 10-minute walk from the property. The small town of St Just is about 3 miles away which has shops including a Co-op, two butchers, an excellent organic grocers, a bakery and a number of art galleries and cafes, including Moomaid – which sells delicious locally made ice cream as well as very good coffee and cake. Penzance is 7 miles away for more shops (including two supermarkets), art galleries and restaurants. For excellent fresh fish and seafood for the BBQ, head to one of the famous fishmongers by the harbour in Newlyn – one of the few working fishing harbours left in Cornwall. Portheras Cove is a small, secluded, sandy beach about a mile from the cottage, which is visited mainly by locals. The cliff path leads to steps down to the beach however, please note that there is no disabled or wheelchair access and it has no public facilities.
