Stonelee Guest House

Just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach, Stonelee Guest House is set in a three-storey Victorian building and offers modern amenities such as free WiFi and on-site parking.

A flat-screen TV with DVD player is provided in each Stonelee room, as well as en suite facilities and garden views. Guests can also make use of the games room which features a pool table and darts board.

Cooked breakfasts are served in the bright and modern dining area and are made to order. Local produce is used where possible and there is use of a kitchen on request.

The centre of Broughty Ferry is a 5-minute walk away and includes a variety of bars, shops and restaurants. Public transport leaves from outside the property and numerous famous golf courses including St Andrews and Carnoustie can be reached within a 30-minute drive. The V&A Dundee is 4.3 miles away from the property.

Information about the host

Our guest house is fairly unique in the area. Every room has it's own personality and we are creating a new and innovative look in an ongoing project. We like our guests to make themselves at home from the minute they walk through the door to the moment they take their leave of us. We are here at all times to create that homely, welcoming feeling. You may come in a stranger but hopefully, by the time you leave, you will be a friend.

I, Kate, am Scottish and my husband Karl, is Australian. We both like to cook and have a variety of birds and fish in our care. Our passions are the guest houses and looking after our guests to the best of our ability. We love greeting people from all over the world and hearing some of their life stories. We enjoy being innovative at breakfast, always looking for new dishes to add to our extensive breakfast menu.

Dundee, at the moment, is a very exciting place to visit. The building of the new V & A museum of design (the only one outside London) is progressing on the waterfront along with various other waterfront projects. It sits beside the very interesting Discovery Centre with Sir Walter Scotts ship, open for the public to go on board. In Broughty Ferry, where our guest houses are, there is a castle museum, many and varied boutique shops and lots of restaurants and bars. All within a 5/10 minute walk.
