Studios At Glenthorne is just 15 minutes’ walk from Merthyr Tydfil Railway Station. These family-run, self-catering studios are set in a Victorian townhouse.
Each modern studio at Glenthorne has contemporary décor and bright finishes. There is a fireplace and a TV, and a kitchenette including a washing machine, microwave, fridge, kettle and an oven. Tea, coffee and toiletries are provided. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Glenthorne was built by the owner of The Merthyr Brewery in 1889. It was sold to the catholic church in the early 1970's and became St Josephs Convent for the Sisters of Annecy, it remained a convent until 2012 when it was purchased by Claire Harris. Since its purchase the owner has worked hard to renovate it and return it to its former glory.

5 minutes walk from Cyfarthfa Park the jewel in Merthyr Tydfils crown. 8 minutes drive from Cyfarthfa Retail Park for great shopping and 10 minutes drive to the Vue cinema complex with 10 screens, a bowling alley, restaurants and pubs. 10 minutes drive from the wonderful Brecon Beacons. Bike Park Wales is just a short hop on the A470. A great position to walk, bike ride or tour the beautiful scenery and surroundings. Cardiff, the capital of Wales is just a 40 minute drive. Swansea and The Gower Peninsular just 0 minutes drive away.
