Within walking distance from Dockray, Aira Force, Ullswater, and for the more adventurous there's a lakeside walk to Glenridding and the foot of Helvellyn. If you are looking for a tranquil stay surrounded by nature this is a perfect base to enjoy everything the area has to offer.

Attached newly converted property forming part of a former Village School in rural location at top of country lane enjoying spectacular views over the lakeland fells and enjoying tranquil setting. The property is located in a rural area, with plenty of walking and cycling routes on its doorstep. It is possible to walk to the local pub. Public transport is limited but bus time-tables can be made available. Taxis are also available but require pre-booking and are subject to availability. For hard-core walkers or cyclists wanting to challenge themselves on the most demanding routes there is also an option to book a "guide" and similar options are available on Lake Ullswater for a range of water sports.
