With beautiful sea views across fields to the Scilly Isles, our modernized 19th century miners' cottage is set on a quiet pedestrian terrace near coastal paths, children's playground and sports amenities, and minutes' walk from the charming historic town centre of St Just. All around are the luscious rugged Poldark landscapes with its 18th and 19th century mines. Plenty to do and see for everyone in this Unesco World Heritage region, from swimming and surfing in stunning coves and beaches, walking, horse-riding and fishing, or relaxing and enjoying the comfort of the spacious cottage.

We are based in London and love coming to stay at our cottage in St Just, where together with our children, we enjoy the inspiring landscapes, views of Cape Cornwall and the Scilly Isles, invigorating fresh air, walking and outdoor activities, the closeness to the sea and the warm, convivial ambience of the region. There is much to do and visit, exploring the Poldark environs. We have the benefit of lovely helpful housekeepers who live close by the cottage and are happy to sort out any problems you may have. We hope our guests enjoy it here as much as we do!

We are in a very quiet part of St Just yet only few minutes from the centre with its array of shops, galleries, pubs, restaurants and all amenities. There is an excellent bus service to St Ives, Land's End and Penzance, where the main station (GWR lines from London) is situated. Bike hire is available in St Just. There are wonderful boat trips including fishing trips from various harbours around. Amongst the chief attractions is surfing, especially at the popular Sennen Cove beach, which abounds in surf schools, and further along the coast at St Ives and Newquay, with its famous Fistral beach. St Ives is noted for its many galleries including the Tate, whilst a new gallery recently opened in St Just, the Jackson Foundation Gallery, features modern art and related events. Above all it is the coastal paths around Cape Cornwall and its environs, which provide some of the most exhilarating experiences of the region, with inspiring views over the sea, cliffs and coves, and former mines, several of which form the setting for the TV drama series Poldark.
