Hi, my name is Dee and I would very much like to welcome you to our beautiful apartment in Bastion House, a Georgian three storey townhouse. When I am not looking after our guests and renovating old properties, I like to spend my time gardening, decorating, baking and walking. My husband and I are also members of the National Trust and English Heritage. We absolutely adore renovating period houses, especially Georgian town houses like Bastion House.
Exclusively for adults, this light and airy apartment is situated in a quiet grade II listed Georgian house within a conservation area, benefitting from its own private gated car park. Fully equipped with new appliances and recently fully refurbished throughout. A few minutes walk to the city centre, historic docks and Gloucester Quays shopping mall, restaurants, bars and cinema. Ideally located for visiting Gloucester’s famous Cathedral, museums and for attending all Gloucester’s festivals.
This peaceful retreat is just a stone’s throw away from the historic Gloucester Docks and the famous Quays shopping centre. Nearby is the Gloucester's bustling city centre, once a Roman municipality of Glevum, with oodles of Roman heritage and its famous 13th Century Cathedral, which was used in several Harry Potter films. Beatrix Potter’s Tailor of Gloucester Shop is nearby and, of course, the Gloucester rugby ground at Kingsholm. King Henry II granted Gloucester its first charter in 1155 and in 1216 King Henry III, aged only ten years, was coronated in the Chapter House of Gloucester Cathedral. Nearby are many interesting places to visit including the spa town of Cheltenham, Roman Bath, Oxford and the famous idyllic Cotswold villages including Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Snowshill, the Slaughters, Painswick, Burford and Stroud.
