I started running a holiday let 2 years ago when a property I had renovated didn't sell due to a downturn in the market (Brexit!) The business really took off and a year ago I also took on Summertown House for a friend who was moving out of the area and didn't want to sell the house. I have 2 young children so this has been the perfect business for me to run and work around school holidays! I live the other side of Oxford so am usually on hand if you need me.
Located on a quiet, residential street just off the main parade of shops in pretty Summertown, the house is in a great location with lots of local food shops and restaurants offering takeaway services around the corner. The City Centre is a stroll away (or a short drive or cycle), where you can wander around our beautiful, historic buildings - even if the sights are shut the architecture is amazing and there's lots to explore. You won't realise you're in a city when you can walk to Portmeadow so easily - with it's vast green open spaces, river walks and amazing views of the Oxford Spires it's a beautiful place to escape! The University Parks are also nearby, with pretty tranquil walks where you can sneak a peek into some of the colleges' grounds.
