Swallow Cottage is a charming little holiday home for two or a single person looking to get away from it all. This single-storey cottage is a converted stone farm building that overlooks a central courtyard, and is an ideal base for exploring Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coastline.

Swallow Cottage puts you just a short drive or even a walk from the Jurassic Coastline , where palaeontologists have been digging up fossils since the early 1800s. You can see some of their finds at Lyme Regis Museum, from where you can also arrange a fossil walking tour. Who knows what you might find! Lyme Regis is well worth a visit in itself, with its evocative harbour wall, known as the Cobb, as well as the Aquarium. There are plenty of high street shops and places to eat too. If you’d like to get out and about on the water, you can book your place on a RIB ride from Lyme Regis, or alternatively go out fishing on one of the many trips that are advertised along the harbour. For the green-fingered holiday-maker, a little further north you’ll find Forde Abbey House and Gardens , where there are some stunning gardens to wander through. They’re open all year round, and are particularly beautiful in the spring, when the crocuses come into bloom. The house is open in the spring and summer.
