Information about the host

The house is a south facing chalet bungalow that is neutrally decorated with nice views towards Winchester. There is a good sized garden with patio and outside furniture. We benefit from a large driveway and so parking is not an issue. Guests have the use of the kitchen. The room is large with plenty of storage space.

I am Gary and am married to Sue and we are in our mid fifties and both retired. We have two children. We enjoy travelling, walking, going to the cinema and meeting people.

South Wonston is a quiet village located 5 miles north of Winchester. It has good access to the A34/A303/M3 and so makes a good base from which to explore the surrounding areas. There are many footpaths in the area and we would be happy to take you on a 10-15 mile stroll. The village is served by the number 86 bus which runs Monday to Saturday. There is a village shop, post office, social club, which is accessible to visitors, great park with tennis and basketball court, outdoor gym, skate park. We have a very good kebab van on Friday and Saturday as well as a very good fish and chip van on a Friday.
