We have recently moved to Hertfordshire, having spent time on an Island in the South Atlantic. We bought and have lovingly renovated Tarras during 2017/2018. Now available for guests and set in a stunning country location we look forward to welcoming you. This is Andy's project and he will meet and greet you and be on hand for any questions

Set in a beautiful country lane, overlooking fields and a 12th Century Church, Tarras is just 15 minutes from Stansted Airport. An ideal stopover either before or after your flight. We offer a choice from two beautifully designed en-suite rooms. Chestnut is a large first floor room with a king-size bed, flat screen TV, sofa, with large en-suite bathroom with rain shower, wireless internet and ceiling fan. A free continental breakfast is provided in your room. Your room is equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, hanging space and an en-suite shower room. Newly and tastefully decorated, Walnut is a double room with en-suite on the ground floor with flat screen TV, free wi-fi, complementary in room continental breakfast, tea and coffee making facilities. We are fully COVID compliant, undertaking deep cleaning between bookings. There is ample on site parking (one car per room - contact us if more than one space is required) Situated in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside crisscrossed with public rights of ways and bridleways for beautiful country walks to the local pub and beyond. Despite the country location and feel the nearest supermarket is just a mile away

Neighbourhood information

Very quiet location despite being only a 15 minute drive to Stansted Airport. Although just 5 minutes from Bishop's Stortford and 10 minutes from the M11, Tarras is surrounded by stunning Hertfordshire countryside criss crossed with public footpaths and bridleways. The local pub is a 20 minute walk across the fields. Bishop's Stortford has an abundance of excellent restaurants and cafes and lots of local shops
