Situated in a converted Victorian house built around 1840, The Apartment has large sash and case windows providing stunning views of the surrounding hills and countryside.
Moffat was the place i called home for nearly 20 years and i lived in the apartment,very happily, for a couple of those. My husband and i have since moved to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands where we own a successful self catering property called Glencoe View Lodge. I enjoy walking, mountain biking, gardening and cooking.
Moffat offers something for everyone. If you enjoy walking, there are plenty of options. From a gentle stroll along the picturesque high street with its interesting shops and cafes to climbing its highest hills. Broad Law, White Comb and Hart Fell help to make up the Southern Upland Way and are all just short of being Munroes! The nearby Devils Beef Tub and Grey Mares Tail offer walks, stunning views and are steeped in history as is the town itself being a Victorian spa town. The local museum makes for an interesting visit if you want to learn more about this beautiful area. Mountain biking is also a popular pursuit, with the famous 7 Stanes trail centers all within 1 1/2 hours of Moffat. Eating out is an enjoyable experience, for lunch time there are local cafes and bars and evening meals can be enjoyed in Claudios, an Italian restaurant and Brodies, both a short walk from the apartment.
