The Barn Bed & Breakfast occupies a wing of a Victorian Coach House which sits in tow acres of private secluded gardens. Guests staying in The Barn not only have a beautifully furnished en-suite bedroom but also exclusive access to an adjoining private lounge. The lounge and bedroomed are furnished to the highest standards and offer guests every modern comfort. Guests lounge is equipped with a 42" wall mounted flat screen TV and a wood-burning stove. We provide a wide range of breakfast options using wherever possible only locally sourced foods of the highest quality.

I have been running two self-catering cottages at The Coach House for the past 16 years and in 2017 we are now offering a boutique Bed & Breakfast in our converted barn at The Coach House with the same carefully attention to detail and guest satisfaction that our cottage visitors have enjoyed these past years. I am a school teacher and love meeting new people and ensuring guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay with us.

The Coach House sits an enviable and secluded garden setting within easy walking distance from the centre of Melrose. The property has two acres of landscaped gardens which guests are free to enjoy. The town of Melrose enjoys an idyllic setting at the foot of the Eildon Hills and has a wide range of bars, cafes, restaurants and good quality local shops. The area contains fantastic local walks, golf courses, cycling routes, historic buildings including Abbotsford House, and fishing on the river Tweed and other local lochs and rivers. The accommodation is less than a mile from Tweedbank station which has a half-hourly direct service to Edinburgh with its many tourist attractions.
