The Barn is a standalone building on the holiday cottage complex at Standlow Farm. The ground floor is open-plan, with a modern kitchen, long dining tables, and a comfortable lounge. This looks onto the terrace, with a private hot tub and garden furniture. In summer months there will also be a BBQ for you to use (just remember to bring charcoal and firelighters). There is a downstairs W.C., with two further bathrooms upstairs. Walking upstairs brings you straight onto the open-balcony bedroom. It can sleep up to three people, as there is one single bed and one round bed. Please note, this bedroom is open on the landing, so cannot be closed off for privacy like a traditional bedroom. This bedroom shares a family bathroom with the twin bedroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and has zip-and-link beds that can be arranged into a king-size bed or a twin single room. Please let us know after booking which arrangement you would prefer. Dogs are welcome for an extra charge, if requested at the time of booking.
Standlow is located in the middle of beautiful Derbyshire countryside, within walking distance of Kniveton Village and the Red Lion pub. Carsington Water is just over a mile away, where you can find walking and cycle routes, water sports, a children's play area and the visitor centre and cafe. The Peak District is just a short drive away, along with the many outdoor activities on offer, such as climbing and abseiling. Alton Towers is around 30 minutes away by car.
