The Cables

Situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park, The Cables features a hot tub at a surcharge, outdoor pizza oven and 2 patio areas. The Cables has free on-site parking.

Free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and an en suite or private bathroom with hair dryer are featured in each room at The Cables, as well as bathrobes & slippers. A coffee machine and fridge is also available for guests to use.

A hearty full English breakfast is served each morning, as well as a selection of specials and continental options. Homemade pizza is available in the garden on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays form April till August.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Derwent Valley can be reached within a 40-minute drive, while the Peak District offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing and water sports.

We offer romantic super-king/ king size/single and twin beds 3 course breakfast is optional for a small charge but included for single occupancy. We cater for up to 7 guests of all ages. Enjoy our half acre garden and patio's with a dip in the hot tub and your favourite tipple from our extensive bar menu. The views are stunning and local restaurants are amazing all within walking distance, or just order a take away to be delivered!!

We are a husband and wife team who aim to a memorable time for all who stay, we are a down to earth who love to see people feel at home and relax and enjoy our very scenic location on the banks of the river derwent, we encourage guests to let us know what will make their time special, from decorating the room for special occasions to cooking them a pizza in our outside oven( in summer) while they unwind in the secluded hot tub with a glass of wine. Nothing is too much trouble so please let us know what we can do to make your break one to remember.

Many walks available on the door step, aswell as historical venues and markets such as Chatsworth House home of Pride and Prejudice fame, Bakewell, matlock and Wirksworth Markets and not forgetting the famous illuminations in September and October in Matlock Bath with 150,000 visitors. What's not to like in this lovely peak District village?
