We are close to Dalby Forest for woodland walks or for the more adventurous there’s Go Ape for those who wish to swing between the trees! We are a short walk away from Thornton Le Dale, just follow the babbling beck for an ice cream or perhaps a meal at one of the local pubs. Thornton dale offers a leisurely walk around the pond to feed the ducks, a chance to snapshot the famous thatched cottage, a fish and chip shop, 2 pubs, an ice cream shop and a well stocked local store for any food supplies you may need. A short drive takes you to Pickering , where you can board the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and head to Whitby. Pickering offers Beck Isle Museum and Pickering Castle as well as many cafes and shops On route to Pickering, there’s Cedar barn offering a miniature railway, farm shop and cafe.
