Welcome to The Casey in the Peak District National Park, possibly the best located cottage in the White Peaks. A perfect getaway for a couple or small family and ideal base for a holiday or short break. There’s a lovely seating area where you can enjoy a glass or two of something and look to the distant hills as the sun goes down with a soundtrack of singing birds and church bells. The Casey has off road parking and a large secure garage with Bike Racks and space to store outdoor gear. Once you step in through the front door, hang up your coat and kick off your boots you will feel at home in the cosy sitting room with tiled flooring, contemporary furniture and a welcoming wood-burning stove. The open stairway divides the sitting room from the modern, well-equipped kitchen which has a useful breakfast bar. The two bedrooms are tastefully presented with exposed roof beams and consist of a double and a single. The designer bathroom has a P-shaped bath with a shower over to refresh or to soak those weary limbs at the end of the day. Rather quirkily, there’s a door on the first floor landing which leads out to the lovely South facing garden and stepping stones leading to the garage.
As Fenny Bentley sits in the Peak District National Park, you are perfectly placed to explore on foot or bike to both the Tissington Trail and Dovedale’s famous stepping stones accessible from the doorstep. You can even paddle a kayak on Carsington Water. If culture, heritage, shopping or cuisine is more your thing then the lovely towns of Ashbourne and Bakewell are nearby. Whether you are a walker, cyclist, outdoor enthusiast or a climber there is much to do in this scenic location and stunning countryside. If you prefer not to cook there’s two very good pubs a short stroll away or there’s a huge choice of eateries and inns in Ashbourne just a couple of miles down the road. Fenny Bentley is an attractive village in Derbyshire, 2 miles from Ashbourne. The pub and church remain the heart of the village. The Coach & Horses is a welcoming real ale inn, and the church has some interesting old features. The Dove and Manifold valleys are close by with excellent walking and cycling opportunities. Note: There are steps up to the garden, so may be unsuitable for young children or elderly guests. The property is by the A515 and may be subject to traffic noise. Windows are triple glazed.
