Situated in the heart of the stunningly-beautiful Dartmoor National Park, close to Two Bridges; Wistman’s Wood and Crockern Tor, this 200 year-old former farmhouse, is an ideal dog friendly base with direct access onto the open moor. With seven spacious, homely en-suite bedrooms; superb views over the open moor; delicious breakfasts with locally made sausages and our own hens’ eggs and a licensed bar, The Cherrybrook offers a very relaxed escape.
After 6 years working as musicians with Disney Cruise Line, we returned home to the West Country to take ownership of The Cherrybrook Bed & Breakfast in 2018, and since then, surrounded by two adorable Cockapoos, fostering Dartmoor Hill Ponies, keeping hens and honey bees we take huge delight in welcoming guests from all walks of life, sharing our comfortable house and stunning surroundings with everyone. We still enjoy playing music and often entertain our guests in our newly renovated Pizzeria/music venue. We welcome any musicians to come and join in too!!
Walkers; cyclists; motorcyclists and horse riders are all welcome. Fly fishermen will find The Cherrybrook especially convenient – the stream of the same name lies just a 20 minute walk away to the South-East, as does the West Dart river to the North.’ Widecombe on the Moor - Immortalised by the well known song "Uncle Tom Cobley and All", must be the best known village on Dartmoor. A picturesque village with village green, pubs, cafés and the fine 16th century St Pancras Church. Wistmans Wood is just a 20 min walk across the moor. Postbridge, our nearest hamlet is most famous for its 13th century Clapper Bridge, the largest on the moor. Hanford Known as "The Jewel in a Granite Setting", Chagford also only a short drive probably has more to offer than any other village around Dartmoor.
