I have lived on the Isle of Wight, together with my husband, since 2000 and can testify to its attraction as a holiday destination. This is my first holiday letting property and I am anxious to ensure that you have a lovely time. I have made this property into one that I would enjoy staying in whilst on holiday.
Shanklin is on the east cost of the island and is very popular as a holiday destination. It has a beautiful coastline and access to some excellent walking areas. Shanklin has an old village, with some interesting pubs and restaurants and is within walking distance of the Custards. There is a large Co-operative supermarket within a short walk and the main shopping area is nearby. You will enjoy the charm of the old village and the facilities of the new. In addition the holiday resorts of Sandown and Ventnor are a short bus ride or car journey away. The Island is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is perfect for either a walking or cycling holiday. On the north side of the island are both Ryde and Cowes. Cowes is famous as the centre of sailing and a variety of water sports are available. The West Wight is an outstandingly beautiful area and the views to the Needles are amazing. There are many historical sites on the Island including Carisbrooke Castle where Charles the 1st was imprisoned; Osborne House the home of Queen Victoria and Farringford House, the home of Lord Tennyson.
