'The Duke's Retreat' is named after Duke Alfonso Otto Gandolfi-Hornyold, the 2nd Duke Gandolfi, who commissioned Gandolfi House to be built for him in the 1800's. The Duke's Retreat is an apartment in part of Gandolfi House and is located in the conservation area in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the hill-side of the upmarket area of Malvern Wells. The views overlook the Severn Valley in this tranquil location. There are views for 10's of miles being in such an elevated position. It is in a walkers paradise, with the Malvern Hills on your doorstep. The apartment is in a secure and private location, tastefully decorated and furnished with its own private entrance from a small terraced area with outside seating. You have your own dedicated off-road parking space at the front of the property, with steps going down to the apartment entrance, with a brick archway over the front door.

We bought Gandolfi House due to its history and Victorian grandeur. The apartment was an ideal opportunity to share this wonderful building with others as a holiday let. We have hosted holiday lets for many years and enjoy knowing that people are enjoying our property as their retreat.

There are so many things to do very close by. If you love walking, you'll love the Malvern Hills. We are situated half way up the hills and there are paths and walkways starting 50 yards from the house, with Holywell being a 10 minute walk away. Malvern offers plenty of restaurants and pubs, with the very exclusive 'Cottage In The Wood' only a 10 minute walk away from the apartment. The Three Counties Showground is only 10 minutes walk away, the Malvern Theatre is 2 miles away along with many shops and supermarkets, including Waitrose and M&S Food. There is a museum and swimming pool in the centre of Malvern. Cathedral cities of Hereford (40 mins) and Worcester (25 mins) are easily accessible as well as market towns of Ledbury (15 mins) and Tewkesbury (15 mins).
