The Dunes is in a quiet part of Stevenston on the Ardeer Peninsula. NB. This is NOT a 'tourist hot spot' but a residential area, (see extra info below) only 5 minutes walk to the beach, & with good transport links to other parts of the West Coast and the Isle of Arran. The apartment is in a period terrace, built in 1906. It has a communal exterior door, which leads to a common entrance/corridor, known as 'the close' from where the private door to the apartment is accessed. Pleased note that 'the close' is used by other residents of the 3 other apartments in the building (so there is potential for some noise) This is a light and airy ground floor apartment and we have tried to make it a 'home from home' so it is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It offers great value for money for a full self-catering base, which includes all utilities, wifi and Freesat TV (with catch-up) We don't have 'staff' as this is self-catering, but we will provide prompt attention to any queries and are only a phone call away. We will provide you with details of key access etc a few days before arrival. We ask you to leave the apartment in a clean and tidy condition upon departure.

Please note that this is a residential area made up of a mixture of period properties and social housing. The street is usually quiet and there is unlimited on street parking. There are local amenities and the beach is within walking distance. If you are looking for a tourist 'hot spot', or luxurious surroundings, 'The Dunes' is not for you. If you are looking for well equipped, clean and comfortable accommodation at an affordable price, then our apartment offers great value for money and is a fabulous base for exploring this lovely stretch of coastline. There are plenty of good eateries around the area. The ferry to the Isle of Arran is a very short drive away. Other attractions are Largs and Troon ( both around 20 minutes away) and the lovely Eglinton Park is nearby too. There are very good transport links and it takes around 40 minutes to get to Glasgow.
