" The Eyrie at Epworth House " - with it's own entrance - this second floor apartment is accessed by an external stairway in our converted Vicorian Vicarage in the conservation area of Penrith just 400 yards from the town centre. Newly refurbished " The Eyrie " has a kitchen with cooker, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge / freezer etc. and a wall mounted 50 inch 4K tv in the lounge area. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and quality contempoary furniture ( linen and towels included in rental fee ). Please note that the bathroom has a shower ( no bath ) plus the usual facilities. All heating , power costs are included in rental fee ).

We fell in love with and bought " Epworth House " in late 2017 then moved in in January 2018 - the " Eyrie " was then renovated with a new kitchen, bathroom and then refurnished and offered for rental from mid April 2018. Built around 1850 the house was originally the Vicarage for the church next door and was converted into 4 apartments in the 1980's by the Fire Service so that their staff could be on hand for the nearby Fire Station - this was replaced by a new out of town Station some 10 years later and " Epworth House " was put up for sale. The family that bought it kept and maintained it for nearly 40 years until it came to ourselves.

Penrith is a historical Cumbrian market town with many of the buildings dating back centuries - we have the remains of two castles locally. We are located a few minutes walk from the town centre with a vast choice of local eateries and pubs - we have the usual choice of national retailers as well as lots of local speciality shops. The nearest Lake to us is Ullswater about 5 miles away. Penrith is located on the Coast 2 Coast cycle route - we have complimentary secure bicycle storage if required.
