Built in 1867 The Gables stands proudly in two acres of mature garden, with panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills. The Gables offers the space and tranquillity of a bygone age. Calm, peaceful and elegant, we are surrounded by unspoilt countryside and are within eight miles of the charms and convenience of historic Berwick upon Tweed. Our two lovely double bedrooms offer the perfect combination of space, traditional style and modern convenience. Antique furniture and period bathrooms, alongside digital TV, free Wi-fi and luxury beds will help to ensure you enjoy your stay. Each room offers tea and coffee making facilities, and a hospitality tray. In 2012 the bedrooms and bathrooms were completely refurbished to a very high specification. Popular local interests include fishing, shooting, golf, walking, bird-watching and cycling. Whatever the season The Gables is the perfect base to explore North Northumberland and the Borders.
