The Hideaway is at the back of my house and is as it sounds, hidden away. It is a separate barn with a separate entrance, effectively a studio flat on the first floor. Garages are below so no disturbance and it is surrounded by woodland so the dawn chorus is amazing. People have often said "you are away from the world" when at The Hideaway. There is an open plan living area which links to a kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom with a Simon Horn Super King bed! Here you are living on an operating farm on the door step of the South Downs which are easy walking distance. Great for hiking, cycling or riding. Fresh air, R&R and general wellbeing.
Hi, I'm Oliver Hancock and I am the owner of The Hideaway and welcome! I feel lucky to have found this spot in the world and you will see what I mean if you come. It is very peaceful and calming with large open spaces - good for the mind and the body! I manage the farm in all its various and diversified aspects and am keen for busy people to come and unwind here. I guarantee it will do you good :) I look forward to seeing you. OH
Westerlands Estate on which the Hideaway is hidden is one hour from South London by car, and one hour from Heathrow and Gatwick. We are close to the market towns of Midhurst and Petworth and 25 minutes from the Cathedral City of Chichester (good theatre) and the south coast, with beaches at Climping, West Wittering and Brackelsham. Cowdray Park (Polo and Golf) and Goodwood (horse and motor racing) are also very close. There are two good pubs in the local village of Graffham as well as a well stocked village shop.
