Information about the host

A warm welcome awaits you at Highlandman Station Bed and Breakfast. Formerly a railway station, this small, friendly bed and breakfast is located in the small hamlet of Highlandman just two miles southeast of Crieff. Highlandman Station is a charming stone built period property which has retained many features which allude to its unique heritage. Erected around 1856 by the Caledonian Railway Company. The former ticket office and waiting room, are now bedrooms attached to the original Station Master's cottage. The platform now functions as a gravelled parking area and has retained original signage. Other features such as the station clock which adorn the façade of the cottage, hint at its rich heritage. Each of our comfortable rooms benefit from free Wifi, television with DVD, hair dryer, tea/coffee making facilities and complementary toiletries. The rooms also enjoy open views across the countryside. There is free off-road parking. Ironing facilities are available on request. Guests are welcome to make use of the sittingroom/diningroom. Guests can choose between a traditional Scottish breakfast or lighter options. Please let us know if you have special dietary needs.

This is an area where iconic castles abound, golfers are spoiled for choice, anglers can fish the mighty River Tay or River Earn among others, extreme sports enthusiasts will find plenty to keep them amused and where gentle strolls can be enjoyed or Munros bagged. The cities of Perth and Stirling can be reached within a half hour's drive. Edinburgh and Glasgow are commutable in just over an hour. Indeed, the undulating hills of the Lowlands and the grandeur of the Highlands are both easily accessible.
