The Iona is a well-established modern guest house situated in a quiet conservation area, close to the seafront, conference centre, theatres, attractions, harbour and town centre. Offering a contemporary, high quality accommodation and genuine hospitality, focused on providing guests with high levels of comfort and care. We offer a range of well equipped, modern ensuite bedrooms. We offer luxurious premium balcony rooms, superior rooms, with king sized beds and crisp white linen. We also have standard twin and double budget rooms for shorter stays. All with flat screen TVs, fridges, ironing facilities and a range of complimentary bottled water, teas, coffees and hot chocolate. Our bathrooms are all equipped with complimentary Walter Geering products and soft white towels. Breakfasts are served in the garden conservatory where guests are offered a buffet of cereals, fruit, yogurts, fruit juices and full English breakfast a la carte.

Roy and Marita have owned and run the Iona for fifteen short years. During this time we have seen the guest expectations change considerably. We feel that we have not only kept up with demands, but by listening to our guests and continually updating the business,have exceeded expectations in our accommodation and food offering. We treat our guests as potential friends and treat them with courtesy and respect that we would expect ourselves. to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. PS: Olivier and Mei became new owners of the hotel from last September. They wish to keep up the standards of the Iona , and would attempt to make it better, if that's possible.
