Situated in an alleyway in the heart of Hastings Old Town, the Kiln is a two-storey space of relaxation and contemplation that has been designed and decorated to give a nod to its industrial past whilst sympathetically getting the most from the building’s original features. Heating and hot water is provided by the latest German electrical technology thereby ensuring efficacy and environmental considerations are met. An induction hob, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle are available. There is space in the alley outside to sit and enjoy the afternoon sunshine, or alternatively open the balcony doors in the bedroom and get some rays there. The Kiln is a very individual apartment, it is contemporary and yet old. If it's a magnolia flat that looks like it fell out the Next catalogue or shells on strings with 'To the Beach' signs that you are looking for, you might want to look elsewhere. The head chef of a local restaurant lives in the flat upstairs. He is a nice man. You will hear his footsteps from time to time. ONE SMALL dog is allowed at no extra cost and owners are requested to bring baskets and bedding to ensure paws remain on floors. Smoking is not allowed.

The Kiln is in the middle of Hastings Old Town which is still very much a place of work, but also a place of play. As such it can be noisy and lively at times and very peaceful others. Pubs, shops, restaurants, walks, the beach are all close by, but not claustrophobically so, despite the local geography. It's a great place.
